CNSA Update: February 2008


  • 2008 CNSA Convention...Topaz Lake Lodge and Casino...

  • SB 742 signed by the Governor and in effect on Jan 1, 2008 - Reauthorized the OHV Program and funding of the Winter Program....many other changes that will enhance the OHV/OSV Program in California.
  • La Porte Grooming Program is off to a great start with new Volunteers and plenty of snow to work with…. The La Porte Poker run was a big success.
  • Cisco Grove was the kickoff for the season Safety Seminar. Held on Saturday, Jan.26th , a good turnout with Sunshine and 2 to 4 feet of fresh powder….. Instruction was presented by Richard Brightman and Jay Dobler …. More Seminars to follow…. Many thanks to the Sacramento SnowBusters for the great Lunch and to Rick and Debbie Martin of Cisco Grove for sponsoring this Event…
  • Rumors of a fun Open Riding day at Bear Valley Ski Resort are real. CNSA is working with the resort owners to see this happen sometime after the Easter weekend closing, depending on snow conditions. Update to follow.
  • Reminder.....those coming to Convention, bring a raffle Prize or two to support the "Right to Ride" Fund.
  • Jonesville Warming Hut: A federally funded grant has been approved and funded to construct a new log warming Hut at Jonesville with cooperation of the Lassen National Forest, CNSF, CNSA and the Butte Meadows Hillsliders. We anticipate construction to breakground in the spring.
